1. Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1-2 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. If your order is significantly delayed, we will contact you via email or phone.

2. Domestic Shipping (United States)

Ferment It offers the following shipping options for orders within the United States:

2.1. Standard Shipping

  • Cost: Free for orders over $75, $7.95 for orders under $75
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 3-5 business days

2.2. Expedited Shipping

  • Cost: $14.95
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 2-3 business days

2.3. Priority Shipping

  • Cost: $24.95
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 1-2 business days

Delivery times may vary based on the shipping address and the time of day the order is placed. Orders placed after 1:00 PM EST will be processed the next business day.

3. International Shipping

We ship to most countries worldwide. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight, dimensions, and destination.

3.1. International Standard Shipping

  • Cost: Calculated at checkout
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 7-14 business days

3.2. International Express Shipping

  • Cost: Calculated at checkout
  • Estimated Delivery Time: 3-7 business days

Please note that international orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our shipping fees. We cannot predict what these charges might be, and Ferment It is not responsible for these additional costs.

4. Shipping Restrictions

Due to the nature of our glass products, we may be unable to ship to certain locations. Additionally, some countries have import restrictions on certain types of products. If we cannot ship to your location, we will notify you promptly and provide a full refund.

5. Packaging

At Ferment It, we are committed to sustainable practices. Our packaging is designed to minimize environmental impact while ensuring your fermentation jars arrive safely:

  • All jars are carefully wrapped in protective, recyclable materials
  • We use recycled cardboard boxes for shipping
  • Packing materials are biodegradable whenever possible
  • We avoid plastic packaging materials when alternative options are available

6. Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email that includes a tracking number and link. This allows you to monitor the progress of your package as it makes its way to you.

If you haven't received tracking information within 3 business days after your order confirmation, please contact us at shipping@fermentit.com.

7. Delivery Issues & Lost Packages

For packages marked as "delivered" but not received:

  1. Check all areas around the delivery location (front door, back door, garage, with neighbors, etc.)
  2. Wait 24 hours as packages sometimes show as delivered before they actually arrive
  3. Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number to inquire about the package location
  4. If you still cannot locate your package, please contact us at shipping@fermentit.com within 7 days of the delivery date

While we cannot guarantee delivery times and are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, we will work with you to ensure you receive your order or provide appropriate compensation.

8. Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged:

  1. Take photos of the damaged packaging and product
  2. Contact us at support@fermentit.com within 48 hours of delivery
  3. Include your order number and the photos of the damage

We will arrange for a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
